Campus Tours

Once You're Accepted

Congratulations! You are now accepted to Columbia State and are taking your first step toward becoming a college graduate! In order to make sure you have all the tools and information you need to be successful, learn about the next steps.

Advising & Orientation

New students and transfers with less the 24 credits hours are required to schedule an advising appointment and attend orientation. To schedule an advising appointment, students should email with their full name, A#, and date and time preferences for an appointment. A College Success Advisor will respond with a confirmation. Students should also schedule a New Student Orientation session.This orientation is designed to make sure you have all the information you need in order to find your way around, understand academic expectations, and get a feel our awesome Campus Life.

Testing & Placement

Ok, so now you’ve heard that you need to take a placement test. Here’s what you need to know. Placement tests are given to make sure that you are in the right level of classes. You want to make sure that you do your best on these tests. The goal is that you end up in classes that will challenge you, but are classes in which you are prepared. Visit our Testing Services department for more information.

Paying for College

Getting into Columbia State is a matter of filling out the application, and submitting your test scores and transcripts. That part is pretty easy. The next step is to work on finding the funds to be able to make your college dreams come true. The Financial Aid Office is ready to help you.
